I am an award winning soft pastel artist based in Seattle area. I earned a Master's degree in Architecture at State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering in Nizhny Novgorod. Now I work as an Interior Designer and 3D Environment Artist.
I began pastel painting in Washington state inspired by colors of the nature around. I make tiny objects of nature appear big on paper to bring attention to them. In my works little pieces seem like patterns.
In paintings I choose pastel technique because of the velvet texture and deep pure colors that focus attention. I follow the academic way of drawing in a realistic manner, and at the same time my pastels leave impressionistic touch on paper.
I am a member of Northwest Pastel Society.
